Our recent article, talked about how food banks are helping to combat hunger in America. There are food banks that even help solve some of the causes of food insecurity, by teaching life and job skills.
Schools have been involved in fighting childhood hunger for many years. Most school districts offer free and reduced breakfast and lunch programs. Now some school districts, like the one in Marysville, WA are providing dinner. Any child up to the age of 18 can receive a free meal, no questions asked. Adults can also get a meal for $4.50.
